INTERACTIVE STORYTELLING EXPERIENCE

BIGSTUF CAMPS COMMISSIONED MEPTIK TO BUILD AN SELF-GUIDED, INTERACTIVE STORYTELLING EXPERIENCE AT THEIR 2014 CAMPS IN CONJUNCTION WITH COMPASSION INTERNATIONAL.

AS PARTICIPANTS MOVED THROUGH THE EXPERIENCE, THEY PRESSED VARIOUS BUTTONS THAT PLAYED VIDEO MONTAGES ACROSS TWO SCREENS. A VERTICAL SCREEN DISPLAYED A NARRATOR WHO INSTRUCTED AND INFORMED VIEWERS WHILE A LARGER, HORIZONTAL SCREEN PLAYED CORRESPONDING IMAGERY SIMULTANEOUSLY.

THREE DIFFERENT SYSTEMS WERE BUILT FOR THE THREE ROOMS OF THE EXPERIENCE. EACH ROOM CONTAINED A IMAC RUNNING A CUSTOM BUILD OF RENEWED VISION'S PRO VIDEO PLAYER 2 THAT ALLOWED CONTROL OF VIDEO FROM PHYSICAL BUTTONS.

THE EXHIBIT WAS MEANT TO BRING AWARENESS TO THE EXPERIENCES AND LIVING CONDITIONS OF STUDENTS ACROSS THE GLOBE WHO WERE APPROXIMATELY THE SAME AGE AS CAMP ATTENDEES.
