extended reality test 1.0

We set out to see what the future of film production looks like by bringing Extended Reality (XR) onto a film set.

By combining the data from a high speed robotic camera system with real-time graphics, we were able to create a digital world that responded to the physical movements of the camera. We also used infrared motion tracking to track the stunt-actors' movements and place them inside the virtual world right along with the camera.

As the camera and actors moved, so did the environment around them. This first successful test now opens the doors to a world of ground-breaking possibilities for both film and experiential design.

Huge thanks to our friends at RiTE Media in Atlanta, GA for combining efforts with their teams and equipment, and special thanks to our friends at Visional for providing the motion tracking system.
